Hardener for Epoxy powder coatings

Jietonda® SA31 is 2-phenyl imidazoline, which can be used as an epoxy resin hardener or an accelerator for powder coatings.

1. Typical properties

Herein described to be typical properties and do not constitute specification limits.

2. Characteristics
　 ● When used as main hardener for epoxy powder coatings, the system can achieve fully cross-linkage at low temperature or expedite curing conditions such as 140℃/30min or 240℃/30s.
　 ● As an accelerator, it can reduce curing temperature or shorten curing time of epoxy powder coatings by replacing a part of DICY or substituted DICY in formulas.

3. Use method & levels
　 ● Premix SA31 with other components of the formula before extrusion.
　 ● As main hardener, the use level is 6-7 parts/100 parts of epoxy resin (E.E.W 700~900) by weight.
　 ● As an accelerator, the use level is 0.1 -0.5% based on total weight of formula.

4. Package & Storage
　 ● Packaging with PE lined fiber drums. Net weight 25kg per drum.
　 ● Store in cool and dry place to avoid wetting-absorption. Keep package closed after using. Keep away from heat and fire.
　 ● Based on our experience the shelf life of SA31 under above conditions is at least 2 years.
